In Connecticut, employers must provide workers with a notice that informs workers of the types of electronic monitoring that may occur. A third state arguably falls into the scope of a notice requirement. ![]() Only two states have laws that expressly require that private employers provide notices to workers before engaging in monitoring internet use or electronic communications. State legislatures have not aggressively broached the issue of worker privacy.
